A few years ago there was a show on Netflix called Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. It was about decluttering your possessions and ultimately your life. The idea was that you only keep the things that spark JOY. And this is how I center my work as a career coach. 

 

I am Catrice Thomas, a veteran educator who believes in legacy building to ensure that wisdom and worth can continue for generations to come. I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees from North Carolina State University and an Educational Specialist degree from Auburn University. As the career coach, I have the joyous opportunity to empower students and families in creating a path to achieve goals and dreams.

 

Therefore, I’m not going to ask what you want to be when you grow up, but instead, I want to know what in your life sparks joy. What makes you happy? What are your passions? What type of impact do you want to make in this world? What do you want your legacy to be?
